EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in one of the following two:
• Recent* and significant** sailing time on board of a Victoria class submarine; OR
• Recent* and significant** experience working in a submarine related technical position
Experience in providing advice and guidance to supervisors and clients
Experience in the application or enforcement of technical standards
Experience in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings
*Recent is defined as within the past five years in a technical position
**Significant is defined as a minimum of three years
ASSET EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the position (such as Marine Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Combat Systems Engineering Technology)
ASSET CERTIFICATION:
Certificate from any accredited risk management course
Certificate from any accredited project management course
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the application of naval engineering and maintenance policy and procedures outlined in the Naval Engineering Manual, Naval Maintenance Management Systems (NaMMS) or Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO)
Experience in the use of Defence Resource Management Information Systems (DRMIS) or other SAP based programs
Experience in the process of material certification as it applies to submarines
Experience working in DND/CAF
