EDUCATION:
FOR BOTH STREAMS
ED1: Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of training, education and/or experience.

Notes:
1.Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2.It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3.At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
FOR BOTH STREAMS
EX1: Experience* in providing Information Technology advice and support to clients.
EX2: Experience* in analyzing and troubleshooting Microsoft SharePoint (2010 or above) environment.

FOR STREAM 1
EX3: Experience* working with technical documentation and/or diagrams.
EX4: Experience* with integrating business solutions using a Microsoft SharePoint (2010 and above) environment.

FOR STREAM 2
EX5: Experience* in system administration, performance tuning, maintenance and/or troubleshooting of Microsoft SharePoint Server and/or Microsoft Project Server (2010, 2013, 2016).
EX6: Experience* providing IT technical support to internal and/or external clients.

*Experience is defined as performing those duties for a minimum of one (1) year within the last five (5) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
The criteria below are asset qualifications, as such they are not essential to the positions to be staffed. However, it would be “nice to have” as a candidate and the board members may decide to favor a candidate who has these qualifications. AQ1: Experience in creating and building workflows, surveys and/or forms in SharePoint.
AQ2: Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and PowerShell.

AQ4: ITIL Foundation Certification.
