As part of the CSC team, your job is to provide a safe, secure and positive environment for offenders, staff and citizens. Working for CSC often means working with offenders.
A qualified pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions in the Gravenhurst area. Various tenures including Indeterminate/Term/Casual. A qualified group of candidates will be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies for term and/or permanent, at full and part time hours.

*Clinical fieldwork placement is defined as a guided clinical practice in selected nursing settings to facilitate the application of theoretical concepts and skill development.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Registration as a Registered Nurse OR a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in a province or territory of Canada. (In order to be appointed, candidates must be registered in the province or territory where the position is being staffed.)

ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a Bachelors or Master degree in nursing or in antoher area relevant to the position.
Relevant Canadian Nurses Association (CAN) certification(s) in nursing (e.g. Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, Community Health, Critical Care, Medical-Surgical Health, etc.).
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control accredited by the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology.
Experience in nursing in one or more of the following areas:
- Immunizations;
- Infectious diseases screening;
- Health promotion programs;
- In a rural and/or remote area;
- In a correctional setting and/or forensic setting.
Experience providing nursing intervention and/or therapeutic intervention to patients suffering from a variety of mental illnesses or psycho-social difficulties.
Experience in Community Health Nursing and/or Public Health Nursing and/or Occupational Health.
