There is an immediate need to staff one (1) casual position in Petawawa, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar casual positions.

Experience:
Experience providing general labour services, performing the following:
• Snow and ice removal from buildings, sidewalks and hydrants; operating motorized vehicles, equipment and hand tools;
• Performing grounds maintenance services such tree work, landscaping, using powered tools and equipment, as well as a variety of hand tools;
• Installation and repair of signs and security fences on base and in Range Training area;
• Provides site preparation and labour support for tradespersons.

Occupational Certification:
• Chain saw certification.
• Any Health and Safety certifications including but not limited to First Aid, WHIMIS, CPR, General Safety Certification, HAZMAT, Confined Spaces, Fall/Arrest.
Experience:
• Experience operating any of the following equipment: agricultural tractors, skid steers, skidders, trackless.
• Experience driving and backing up a trailer.
Operational Requirements:
• Willingness to work shift as required
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Willingness to be on standby and report to work when required
Reliability Status security clearance
• Possession of a valid Class “G” driver’s license without restrictions issued by the Province of Ontario or provincial/territorial equivalent.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s license (DND 404).
• Must be able to lift up to 30 kg repetitively
• Must be able to bend, to walk extensively on various types of terrain, to climb ladders, stairs and scaffolds and to work outdoors in hot and cold environments
• Must wear safety boots, hard hat, respirator, ear and eye protection in accordance with safety requirements, policy or regulations
