Assessment accommodation

Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar term, or indeterminate
positions in the Fredericton/Oromocto/Gagetown area with various linguistic profiles and different security requirements.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Military Materials Technician Trade Qualification (DP2/QL5)
OR
• Possession of a valid Provincial or Interprovincial Welder Certificate

Degree equivalency

-Experience in the application of welding skills (simple, complex and specialized welding repairs)

-Experience in modification and fabrication to various types of vehicles, machinery and miscellaneous items (ferrous/nonferrous metals) in a welding shop environment

-Experience with metallurgy and welding equipment used to weld or cut ferrous/non-ferrous material and specialized high strength steels

The position to be staffed at this time is an English essential position or French essential. This process may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements (Bilingual) and profiles.

• Certification in First Aid

-Experience with Standard Military Pattern vehicles, Light Armored Vehicles (Tracked or Wheeled), Military Engineering Bridging Systems and associated equipment
-Experience in Amour Plate Welding (OSS.02)
-Experience with the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)

Reliability Status security clearance

• Must hold and retain a valid provincial driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 Driver/Operator Permit
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
