For this selection process, our intention is to communicate with applicants by e-mail for screening/assessment purposes (including issuing screening results, and sending invitations for written tests and interviews). Testing/interviews will be conducted at locations of the employer's choice and may require candidates to travel to the test/interview location, Campbellton, N.B.

Please note that candidates (including persons employed in the Public Service) will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and travel costs will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar temporary and/or permanent positions

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

A covering letter in 3,000 words (maximum)

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing service to clients by telephone, in person or in writing.
Experience researching, extracting and compiling information from various sources.
Experience in the use of various information management systems and software programs such as but not limited to Excel, Word, Word Perfect, Quattro Pro.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience providing administrative services in a legal or police services environment.
Experience using police databases such as: ACIIS, PROS, PIRS, CPIC, NCDB, CKIT, ICAN, Versadex, PRIME.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Reliability Status security clearance - of the RCMP.
