Work environment

Works in a fast pace team environment that supports administrative advice and services for financial management, resources planning, utilization. The position delivers all administrative and financial functions within the Regional Director General’s Office (e.g. procurement, human resources, asset and inventory management, facilities, information management, information technology, security, health, travel and safety).

Intent of the process

An anticipatory pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar AS-01 positions at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) with various tenures, various linguistic profiles, various security requirements, various conditions of employment at 4905 Dufferin Street, Toronto ON M3H 5T4.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the position.

6. You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. 7. Candidates are strongly encouraged to indicate if they meet any of the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed. Meeting one or many of the asset qualifications may be a deciding factor in appointing a particular candidate amongst the qualified candidates. 9. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) will use the services of a third-party Human Resources Consultant to administer the assessment for this position. By submitting your application, you are providing ECCC your consent to provide this personal information to the organization for administration purposes only. This information will only be used for administration of the assessment tool.

10. Applicants are entitled to participate in the staffing process in the official language of their choice and are required to indicate their preferred official language in their application profile.

11. A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates, such as: written test, practical test, situational exercise, oral interview, simulation, presentation, role-play, work samples, performance appraisals and/or reference checks. 12. Depending on the number of applicants, ECCC needs and HR plans, volume management strategies such as random selection, application of one (1) or more assets, top-down approach, and/or cut-off scores may be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates.
