We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
***APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH WWW.JOBS.GC.CA. ONLY APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED ON LINE WILL BE CONSIDERED.***
****VERY IMPORTANT NOTES****
It is the responsibility of the candidate to clearly outline that they meet each of the screening criteria (i.e. Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets) by RESPONDING TO THE SCREENING QUESTIONS IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities; rather, the candidate must provide concrete examples that illustrate how they meet the requirement. Lack of EXAMPLES and DETAILS may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications.
Your Résumé will only be used as a secondary source to validate the experience described in your answers to the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS) questionnaire, and will not be used as the source document for candidate screening.
In your PSRS questionnaire responses, clarity, coherence, conciseness as well as appropriate attention to detail (spelling, grammar and relevance to the factor being substantiated) WILL be used to evaluate your ability to communicate effectively in writing.
In an effort to compress candidate assessment schedules, note that Language assessments MAY be undertaken at any stage of the assessment process. Additionally, all candidates may not be scheduled for language testing at the same time. As such, an invitation to language testing should not be construed as an indicator of success in the selection process.
Although the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff (1) indeterminate position with BBB/BBB linguistic profile, applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language proficiencies (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC). In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), security requirements and conditions of employment within Health Canada. As a result of the potential and possible use of the selection process and subsequent pool by hiring managers, we encourage anyone seeking this type of opportunity to apply.
