The Global Issues and Development Branch at Global Affairs Canada advances Canadian priorities through thematic policy leadership, managing large global investments and delivering specialized knowledge and advice on key global development issues, including health, environment, climate change, development finance, food security, gender equality, gender-based violence, child protection, governance and economic growth and education. The Global Issues and Development Branch also delivers effective, needs-based humanitarian assistance in response to complex emergencies and natural disasters in developing countries. Intent of the process

The current need is to staff EC-05 positions within Global Affairs Canada’s Global Issues and Development Branch on an indeterminate basis with the following linguistic profiles: Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC. This process may be used to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates which may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures and linguistic profiles within Global Affairs Canada. Based on needs, we may use asset qualifications to assess some candidates for a given sector.
