Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE: Candidates must always hold a Bachelor’s degree. Specialization courses do not necessarily have to form part of the study program in which the degree was obtained. The specialization can also have been obtained through a variety of studies, training and/or experience.
If your degree is not in Economics, Sociology or Statistics, you will have to clearly list the university or equivalent courses that you have taken in at least one of the three relevant areas of specialization.
And
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Social or Health Sciences or a field related to the position.
Experiences:
1) Significant* experience in researching, analyzing, synthesizing and interpreting public health issues or data to provide recommendations and produce documents;
2) Significant* experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relations with partners and stakeholders of various sectors, in link to heath domain.
3) Experience in planning and coordinating projects.
4) Significant* experience in qualitative or quantitative data methods and tools application, including using the following software’s specifically Excel, SPSS or SAS or NVIVO, or equivalents) to perform data analysis.
Note:
Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities leading to tangible achievements. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities, as well as the autonomy level will also be taken into consideration.

Knowledge
Knowledge of public health responsibilities, priority/issues and main public health organizations at the federal level and Quebec provincial level.
Abilities:

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
1) Master’s or PhD degree in Public Health, Community Health or equivalent.
Experience:
2) Significant* experience in Performance measurement or Program Evaluation
3) Significant* experience in Epidemiology
4) Experience in chronic disease prevention
5) Experience in infectious disease prevention
6) Experience in Healthy Child Development
7) Experience in substance abuse prevention (ex. cannabis, opioids, or alcohol)
8) Experience with applying key public health concepts such as prevention and health promotion, social inequalities, social epidemiology or the social determinants of health
9) Experience supervising/ mentoring university student(s)
10) Experience in Harm Reduction Approach
11) Experience in climate change issues
12) Significant experience in knowledge transfer and exchange planning, development and application also known as “Knowledge mobilization” or “Knowledge application”;
