This position is located in a busy law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
The immediate need is to staff two permanent full time positions.
A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis, on a casual basis, at full or part time hours) for the Chilliwack and Hope Detachments.
Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in using CPIC.
Experience in using TEAM.
Experience working in a records management environment.
Experience using word processing software such as Microsoft Word.
Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
*Significant experience in using PRIME (Police Records Information Management Environment) in a records, court liaison or front counter capacity.
*“Significant experience” means the depth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties on a continuous basis for approximately 12 months.

The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
