The Technical Services of Correctional Service Canada, Atlantic Region, is a stimulating and dynamic environment whose mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of a real estate portfolio in an operational environment. We are responsible for institutions and penitentiary clusters as well as parole offices and community correctional centers located throughout the Maritimes. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, building mechanics systems, electrical distribution networks, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants, roads, fences and buildings and structures, building mechanics systems, electrical distribution networks, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants, roads, fences and barriers, and automobile fleets to name only those.

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Significant* experience monitoring a budget or providing financial administrative services for construction or maintenance projects.
Experience coordinating the activities/deliverables of multiple projects which have a common objective.
*Significant is defined as 1 year within the last 3 years.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Information on language requirements
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of applicable federal and provincial regulations which impact on the delivery of construction or maintenance services.
Knowledge of project management in the Government of Canada.
ABILITIES
Ability to develop documents and reports for senior management.
Ability to monitor and coordinate financial activities/deliverables of multiple construction or maintenance projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.

EDUCATION
Completion of post secondary education in accounting or business administration from a recognized college of university.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a correctional environment.
Experience with the delivery of capital projects within a federal government environment including financial reporting requirements.

Advanced ability to use Microsoft Excel.
