A pool qualified candidates will be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada and various Federal Government Departments across Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:

Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics;

OR

Possession of the Government of Canada Financial Management Certificate.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Experience in extracting, compiling and analyzing financial information, and preparing reports (may have been acquired in a school or work setting)

2. Recent and significant* experience in at least 1 of the following:
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Financial Analysis
- Accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, etc)

* Recent and significant experience is defined as the performance of duties on a continuous basis over a period of 12 months within approximately the last 5 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education:

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics.

OR

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Experience in providing briefings to management
2. Experience using financial modules of SAP
3. Experience in delivering presentations
4. Experience in the financial management of grants and contributions programs
5. Experience providing financial analysis, advice and recommendations to clients
6. Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
