The immediate need is to staff one English Essential indeterminate Cost Planner & Estimator position in one of the following locations: Halifax, NS, Moncton, NB, Saint John, NB, Charlottetown, PE, Corner Brook, NL or St. John’s, NL.
A pool of completely or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements and various security profiles at Public Services and Procurement Canada within the Atlantic Region.

Education
Graduation with a diploma in construction management, project management, engineering or architectural technology or related building technology from a recognized technical institute or college OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience
Experience in providing conceptual estimates, cost planning, project scheduling and cost control for real property construction projects.
Experience in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects including general contractor costs.
Experience in providing advice and guidance to clients and/or senior management in the field of cost management.
Experience in reading, interpreting, and providing input on construction contract documents.
Asset Qualifications
Occupational Certification
Construction Estimator Certified (CEC Designation).
Asset Experience
Experience in the use of Microsoft Project or other project scheduling software.
English essential

Knowledge
Knowledge of architectural, engineering and construction industry practices and principles in cost planning and estimating as applied to construction projects including new construction, renovations, maintenance and repairs for buildings and other facilities.
