This project involves creating a sequence stratigraphic framework of the Montney Formation in high and low H2S concentration areas to constrain zones of high H2S. The workflow involves identifying sequence stratigraphic surfaces in well logs and cores. Secondly, locate landing zones of horizontal wells targeting units within the established sequence stratigraphic framework to allocate production for each well to a specific Montney unit. Thirdly, place analyzed geochemical data within the sequence stratigraphic framework to establish the relationship between geochemical data and produced gas composition (i.e. H2S content).
