Duties

• Data pre-processing, cleaning and feature engineering.
• Investigation and application of various ML algorithms.
• Incorporation of theory driven data science and uncertainty assessment.
• Development of an AI system to advise and optimize new field developments.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Currently enrolled or willing to enroll in the University of Calgary in Petroleum Engineering or some other specialization relevant to the duties of the position.
• A M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

In the context of student recruitment in the federal public service, experience can be acquired through studies, work experience or volunteer activities.

• Experience in data analysis.
• Experience in computer programming in at least one of: Matlab, Python, R.
