Global Affairs Canada is looking to recruit individuals who are interested in being a strategic partner to clients who are serving our Canadian interests around the world.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) position on indeterminately basis.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures and linguistic profiles within Global Affairs Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; or

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years experience in one (1) of the following sectors: accounting operations; interpretation of public financial policy; financial planning, budgeting and reporting; internal audit; costing services; fiduciary risk management
Experience delivering financial services and advice to clients and/or management.
Experience working with an integrated financial system (e.g., SAP).

Possession of a recognized professional accounting designation.
