The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers, offering over 70 different types of civilian career opportunities. The intent of this process is to staff three positions of Pedagogical advisor:
one at the Canadian Forces Language School in Gatineau (Asticou center);
one at the Canadian Forces Language School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu detachement;
one at the 2nd Canadian Division Training Centre in Valcartier for an anticipatory need.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established in order to staff similar positions of various tenures within the Department of National Defence.

EDUCATION :
Baccalaureate from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education or linguistics or in another specialization* associated with the positions in the group.
*The specialization may be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
**An acceptable combination consists of a baccalaureate with more than five years of experience in teaching a second language, or with more than six months of experience in supervision or management acquired over the course of the past ten years in the field of learning or training.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of experience acquired in the past ten years in teaching a second language or in the supervision of personnel in the field of learning or in second language training programs management.
EDUCATION :
Graduate diploma from a recognized institution with specialization in education or linguistics or in another specialization associated with the positions in the group.
