The position is located at our TPOF building at 1426 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orleans, Ontario.
CBRNE serves as a center of expertise in the criminal use of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials and explosives providing both training and operational response to police responders, partner agencies and investigators of CBRN incidents. We are seeking individuals who are looking for an opportunity to work in a continuously evolving and challenging environment that strives to enable operational policing success.
The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Secret security clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

Notes:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement:
a. Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; and
b. Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the EG classification.
Experience in delivering training in the use of specialized bomb disposal equipment;
Experience in the maintenance and lifecycle management of protective equipment used in the field of explosives disposal
Experience in scheduling maintenance activities to support an operational ready environment;
Experience in performing maintenance activities and field repair for bomb disposal related equipment;
Experience in defining and evaluating technical specifications for the procurement of new bomb disposal equipment and/or technologies
Experience as a police or military bomb disposal technician
Experience supervising personnel
Knowledge of the procurement and acquisition process
