Duties

In support of the mandate of the Regulatory Data Management division, this position is responsible for the management of business focussed data management strategic plans and implementation roadmaps, as well as in the annual business planning process and the development of supporting divisional goals and objectives and enabling performance frameworks.

This role will also assist in the conceptualization and execution of data management-related operational projects required to achieve approved data management strategic plans.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff a full time indeterminate position.

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, etc.) and/or security requirements (reliability, secret, etc.) within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION
- Successful completion of a university degree (minimum of a Bachelor’s degree) in business, commerce, finance, mathematics, accounting, computer science, information management or another specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
- Recent** and significant*** experience working with or managing a client-facing analyst team
- Experience implementing operational processes, methodologies or performance metrics
- Experience managing data-related projects
- Experience in investigating issues, analyzing options and making recommendations to Senior Management (Director level and above)
- Experience designing and implementing data collection processes

**Recent experience is defined as experience that has been acquired within the last 5 years
***Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that is normally acquired by continuously exercising the functions for a period of at least 2 years

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act

(FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
