This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

EDUCATION
- Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or some other specialty related to the position or in the process of obtaining a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CA or CGA)
EXPERIENCE
- *Recent and **significant experience in managing and organizing the provision of general accounting services including the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- **Significant experience in leading and managing a team of at least 4 employees
- Experience in preparing internal management reports.
- Experience using the SAP financial system
- Experience using the government of Canada’s shared travel system
- Experience in supporting clients through clarification of financial and accounting policies and practices
*Recent: within the last 5 years.
**Significant: is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with accumulated performance of the duties over a period of approximately 3 years.
ASSET EDUCATION
- Possess a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience in the development of memorandum of understanding with other government organizations.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
