In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Occupational Certification:

OC1: Possession of a valid 310S Automotive Service Technician license or 310T Truck and Coach Technician license issued by the province of Ontario OR an Interprovincial journeyperson certificate equivalent to the 310S Automotive Service Technician or 310T Truck and Coach Technician license
OC2: Possession of a valid unrestricted driver’s license from the Province of Ontario or other provincial or territorial equivalent

Experience:

EX1 – Possession of minimum of 5 years of continuous experience conducting repair and preventive maintenance and service (DND first and second level vehicle maintenance) or civilian industry equivalent on light and heavy, gasoline and diesel commercial patterned vehicles

Definition: Department of National Defence (DND) First Level Vehicle Maintenance: includes operator maintenance and preventative maintenance such as servicing, preliminary diagnosis of faults and corrective maintenance tasks of a minor nature. The
term “minor nature” infers short duration (less than 4 hours) and relatively simple repairs.

Definition: DND Second Level Vehicle Maintenance: includes corrective maintenance by repair or replacement of parts and assemblies, limited only by time (limited to 24 hours).

AS2 - Ability to inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults

The following may be applied / assessed at a later date (may be needed for the job)

Occupational Certification:

AQ1 - Possession of a valid Driver’s License for class D vehicles in Ontario with airbrake endorsement or acceptable alternative (other provincial equivalent or DND 404 issued by the Canadian Forces for similar classes)

Experience:

AQ2 - Experience inspecting buses and standard military pattern vehicles
AQ3 - Experience servicing and repairing buses and standard military pattern vehicles
AQ4 - Experience servicing and repairing hybrid vehicles
AQ5 - Experience servicing and repairing on and off road engineering equipment
AQ6 - Experience preparing reports and returns
AQ7 - Experience repairing hydraulic systems or reconditioning automotive parts
AQ8 - Experience inspecting or repairing one or more of the following types of equipment/vehicles: graders; highway plows; front end loaders; cargo loading vehicles; runway sweepers
