We are seeking a research biologist to conduct research on pesticides fate and transport, with an emphasis on research in pesticide mitigation measures. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary research team to generate novel findings and scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Immediate need: 1 full time temporary position (1 year).
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar permanent and temporary employment.

Graduation with a M.Sc. or PhD from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Biochemistry or in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Experience designing, planning and managing research activities related to the environmental fate and transport of agrochemicals including environmental sampling (water, soil) and sample processing.
Experience recording, organizing, and analyzing data.
Experience preparing and presenting research outcomes.
Experience writing reports and scientific manuscripts.
Experience working in a chemistry laboratory.
Experience working with pesticides.
Experience providing support and leading projects in a research environment.
Experience with pesticide mitigation measures.
Experience with water quality and environmental impacts.
Experience with relevant statistical analysis software.
Documented scientific productivity/recognition in the form of authorship/editorship of research results in recognized scientific journals, and published reports, books, papers, or other communications resulting from scientific research.
