Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) term position in Innisfail, Alberta.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff future indeterminate and /or temporary vacancies within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Central Alberta District. The pool could be used to offer acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• A secondary school diploma, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

• Experience in tracking and/or reconciling budgets.

• Experience providing advice and/or recommendations on administrative practices.

• Experience using various software programs, including spreadsheets and databases.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

• Experience in employee supervision, including tasks such as: assigning work, scheduling, and monitoring performance.

• Experience providing administrative, financial and operational support services in a police environment.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
