Intent of the process

A pool of (fully or partially qualified) candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with a language requirement (Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile (BBB/BBB) and security requirement (Secret clearance).

A covering letter in 2,000 words (maximum) "NOTE: You MUST provide a cover letter. In this document, you must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications and other qualifications section. One effective approach would be to use the wording of each experience criterion as a heading and then write one or two paragraphs demonstrating that you have the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

Notes: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience conceptualizing and managing the planning and conduct of evaluations under the 2016 Treasury Board Policy on Evaluation.
Experience providing oral and written briefings to senior executive management.
A minimum of two (2) years experience managing project teams.
A minimum of five (5) years experience conducting evaluations.
Experience advising on the development of departmental evaluation plans and on the allocation of resources for evaluation projects.

Credentialed Evaluator designation from the Canadian Evaluation Society.

Experience conducting evaluations in a science-based department.
