Financial consumer protection is an integral part of the Government of Canada’s oversight of the financial sector. The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) ensures federally regulated financial entities (FRFEs) comply with consumer protection measures, promotes financial education and raises consumers’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
To deliver on this mandate, FCAC draws on the skills and experience of a broad array of professionals, working at different levels and with different expertise.
FCAC supervises FRFEs through three interconnected pillars of activity: promotion, supervision, and enforcement. Working as the Compliance Coordinator within the Supervision and Promotion Branch, you will be called upon to:
• manage the influx of information of the Supervision team and ensure its distribution within the team;
• work regularly with internal systems, such as our case management system, contact database and other important tools;
• support and collaborate with colleagues in key projects and initiatives;
• track and monitor legislative filings and other FCAC reporting obligations.
If you have strong analytical and communication skills and a willingness to collaborate to make a difference for Canadian consumers, now is the time to apply! Come, join our team, and make a difference.
Located in downtown Ottawa, FCAC is a separate agency subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). We offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core public administration. In addition you will benefit from a minimum of four (4) weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and be eligible for performance pay. We are also pleased to offer flexible work arrangements and a broad range of learning opportunities to help you grow and contribute your best. We have our own unique classification system (RE and REX) with relevant equivalences noted above.
Our people are our strength and we're looking for highly engaged and talented individuals to join our team!
