The project will benefit from geospatial-landscape modelling support. The candidate will work with Agricultural Census data and perform GIS data management/development tasks.

The work environment will include an office research setting on the Central Experiment Farm (CEF) within the Ottawa Research and Development Centre (ORDC). The work environment will provide the opportunity for the candidate to utilize interpersonal communication skills with the project team and other AAFC employees.

Currently enrolled/or eligible to enroll in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a recognized post-secondary academic institution with specialization in: Geomatics and Physical Geography at Carleton University in the National Capital Region.
Experience acquiring and analyzing statistical data.
Experience with process-based geospatial modelling.
Experience using ESRI ArcGIS (10.x) and MS Office 2016.
