Intent of the process

The intention of this process is to fill two (2) indeterminate positions AS-02 and two (2) other positions term AS-03. However, a pool of qualified candidates would be established to fill positions at Transport Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in Interior Design or related educational field (ex. Technician in Architecture).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
COMMON TO ALL POSITIONS (AS-02 and AS-03)

EXP1. Experience interacting with clients, contractors or suppliers in the context of Interior Design or construction projects.
EXP2. Regular experience using AutoCAD software over the past two years.
EXP3. Experience in preparing interior layout plans (ex. Zoning plan, furniture plan, construction / demolition plan, etc.)
EXP4 - Experience preparing cost estimates and project schedules.

FOR POSITIONS AT THE AS-03 LEVEL ONLY
EXP5. Recent and significant experience * in project management (ex. Coordination of various trades, contractors, suppliers, etc.).

* "Recent and Significant Experience" means at least 12 months of experience in the last three years.

- Experience working in a Federal Government environment in the field of facility management.
- Experience in planning and coordinating large scale moves or projects.
- Knowledge of the Financial Administration Act and Government contract regulations.
- Ability to work with the Microsoft Project software.
- Ability to work with the Sketchup-Pro software.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite Excel and PowerPoint.
