The initial intent of this process is to staff two (2) indeterminate position at Canadian Forces base Greenwood.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
- Possession of a valid provincial 2nd Class (Standardized) Power Engineer Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of high and low pressure boiler equipment, feed water, and boiler water systems.
- Experience using computer based software and programs such as Microsoft Suite including Word and Outlook.
- Experience in performing chemical tests, interpreting results and calculating the chemical dosage ratios required to meet the various demands of the plant and distribution systems.
- Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
- Possession of a provincial 1st Class (Standardized) Power Engineer Certificate.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and able to work overtime including shift work, nights and weekends if and when required.
Reliability Status security clearance - Must be able to obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance.
OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must maintain a valid and unrestricted provincial Class 5 driver's licence.
- Must be able to obtain a departmental vehicle operators permit (DND 404).
- Requirement to work in physically demanding conditions such as confined spaces or heights.
- Must be willing and able to be fit tested to wear a respirator.
- Must be able to lift up to 20kgs in accordance with safety practices.
- Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
