Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory process to staff positions within Informatics Services and the Mail Room with various linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and English Essential) and an RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
E1- Experience in using standard computer software such as email and Microsoft Office Suite.
E2 – Experience in the operation of material handling equipment such as: carts, pump trucks, fork lifts.
E3 – Experience shipping and/or receiving goods

Asset Certifications:
Valid Fork Lift Truck Certification.
A valid Ontario DZ or AZ license, or equivalent.

Asset Experience:
AE1. Experience working in a warehouse, shipping environment or distribution centre.
AE2. Experience providing continuous life cycle management of equipment and/or supplies on a large scale.
AE3. Experience in using an IT help desk ticketing system and/or an inventory tracking system.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
