Kingston is a beautiful and historic city at the confluence of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau Canal system, and is easily accessible from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Kingston offers a diverse array of local music, art, history, theatre and live entertainment that attracts thousands of tourists annually. Kingston has also been designated as a bilingual city by the Government of Ontario.
The immediate need of this selection process is to fill one bilingual position on an indeterminate basis at the Royal Military College of Canada, a university within the Department of National Defence. A pool of partially qualified bilingual candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar bilingual positions within the Department of National Defence

EDUCATION:
A PhD in composition/writing studies from a recognized university.
Candidates with a PhD in other areas with at least five years’ experience teaching writing at a university will also be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
At least two years teaching writing skills at the university level.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Scholarly productivity in the area of composition/writing studies as demonstrated by the publication of research in peer-reviewed and scholarly journals and presses.
At least five years teaching writing skills at the university level.
Experience in university administration.
