Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and an RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

Education
Secondary School Diploma or an acceptable combination of experience and/or training.

Degree equivalency

Experience
E1- Experience in using standard computer software such as email and Microsoft Office Suite.

E2- *Recent experience in supervision.

E3 – Experience providing advice & guidance to clients, colleagues and *management.

E4 – Experience generating or writing reports or briefings to *management

*Recent: Recent is defined as 2 years experience acquired over the last 5 years.
*Management: Management is defined as section manager up to director (EX-01) level.

Post Secondary training, certificate or diploma in Logistics, Warehouse Management or a field relevant to the position

Experience in using IT Help Desk ticketing system or an Inventory tracking system.

Experience working in a warehouse.

Experience providing continuous life cycle management of equipment and/or supplies on a large scale.

Valid Fork Lift Truck Certification

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use."

Able and willing to lift 30kg repeatedly.

Valid driver’s license G Class, or equivalent to drive a panel van or cube van style vehicle.
