Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs (CIRNA) with various linguistic profiles and/or requirement as well as tenures and/or the security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

NOTE:

Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

Significant* experience in preparing or managing the preparation of strategic documents such as: surveys, qualitative or quantitative studies, research reports, position papers, strategic plans and planning documents, evaluation reports, presentations to senior management (Director level and above or equivalent).

Significant* experience serving as a subject matter expert and advising senior management (director or above) on policy files.

Significant* experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions including, but not limited to: Index matching, Vlookup, Pivot-Tables and Charts.

*Significant: To be evaluated against depth and breadth of activities and the complexity and diversity of handled files, for a minimum of two (2) years.
