Located at 160 Elgin Street in Ottawa, the National Capital Regional Office (NCRO) is responsible for federal prosecutions in the East, Northwestern, and Northeastern regions of Ontario, as well as in judicial districts in western Quebec. The regional headquarters is located in Ottawa. The NCRO’s areas of prosecution focus are controlled drugs and substances; terrorism and national security; competition law; and other regulatory statutes.
The immediate need is to staff one (1) indeterminate bilingual position and one (1) term bilingual position. A pool of qualified bilingual candidates may also be established to staff similar bilingual positions with various security profiles and various tenures within Public Prosecution Service of Canada.

Education:
- Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in paralegal studies or a law related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Significant* experience in conducting legal research on medium complexity cases, files or projects.
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing a wide variety of legal documents.
- Experience in maintaining and updating a legal information management system (such as iCase, Ringtail, PRISM, JUSTIN).
- Experience using Microsoft office Suite.
*Significant refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of the duties for a period of one (1) year.
Asset Qualification - Experience:
- Significant* experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing a wide variety of legal documents.

Operational Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy boxes (approximately 25 Ibs.).
- Ability and willingness to work overtime.
