Located in downtown Ottawa, FCAC is a separate agency subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). We offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core public administration. Although the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff one position, this selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Recent and significant* experience in general office and administrative procedures, including maintaining an asset inventory system.
Recent and significant* experience scheduling, coordinating and monitoring office moves.
Recent and significant* experience coordinating employee training or orientation sessions.
Recent and significant experience with data entry and reporting in a security software suite.
Recent and significant* experience with asset disposal, while following the Government of Canada’s Policy on Management of Materiel.
*Recent and significant experience refers to the breadth, depth and complexity of responsibilities normally associated with having performed such activities for approximately 6 months within the last 2 years.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience preparing requisitions and purchasing office supplies.
Experience coordinating with central agencies, property building management, and other internal and external service providers with regards to accommodation requests.
Recent and significant* experience with disposal of assets using GCSurplus and GCTransfer.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Willingness and ability to lift and move boxes, furniture, and equipment, up to 75 pounds, on a daily basis.
Willingness and ability to work overtime at peak periods.
