Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) works collaboratively with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations, Inuit and Métis. Our vision is to support and empower Indigenous peoples to independently deliver services and address the socio-economic conditions in their communities.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a term, acting and/or permanent basis across Saskatchewan.

Education:
Graduation with a Bachelor of nursing degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Occupational Certification:
Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Experience:
Experience in nursing
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge:
Knowledge of home care nursing theories, practices, principles and procedures related to the provision of home care
Knowledge of client assessment and charting
Knowledge of nursing scope of practice issues, home and community care based programs, adult wellness
Abilities:
Ability to apply the nursing process to nursing practice
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to communicate orally
Ability to communicate in writing

Operational Requirements:
Occasional requirement to work overtime
Occasional requirement for overnight travel
Basic Life Support certification
Reliability/Security Clearance
Possession of a valid driver’s licence or personal mobility to the degree associated with possession of a valid driver’s licence
Travel (using government fleet vehicles) to First Nation communities to deliver front line health services to First Nation clients
Overtime in the event of a Public Health emergency or outbreak
Continuous professional registration, in good standing, with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association
