EDUCATION:
PhD (or one nearing completion – must be complete prior to appointment) or its equivalent from a recognized university in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
EXPERIENCE:
Acceptable teaching experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related disciplines; or an acceptable combination of teaching experience and industrial experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
A strong or promising record of publication.
Acceptable expertise either in the area of autonomous vehicles or in the area of embedded systems.
ABILITIES:
*Ability to teach effectively at the university level.
Ability to carry out independent research.
* For bilingual positions, you must be able to teach effectively at the university level in both official languages.

The application for a professional engineer license in Canada, and/or registration as an engineer in training (EIT), is required within the first two years of employment. The candidate then needs to obtain and maintain a professional engineer license in Canada.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Acceptable expertise in the area of machine learning.
Acceptable expertise in the area of machine vision.
Acceptable expertise in the area of sensor fusion.
Acceptable expertise in the area of real-time systems.
Acceptable expertise in the area of model-driven design or model-based engineering.
