The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis for a Programmer Analysts in Business Information Services (BIS) in CFB Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at the same or equivalent group and levels with various tenures and security profiles.

Education:
ED01 - Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Note: It is a recognized educational institution (e.g., community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
Experience:
EX01 - Experience with developing applications with a programming language that makes use of object-oriented principles (classes, inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation) such as Visual Studio, VB.NET/C#, ASP.NET/.Net, C/C++, or Java.
EX02 - Experience developing applications and deploying web based applications using common web hosting environments, such as Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache HTTPD, NGINX or NODEJS.
EX03 - Experience with relational database design and Structured Query Language (SQL).
EX04 - Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including gathering requirements, application design, software development, testing and implementation.
EX05 - Experience with Windows Server platforms or Linux Operating Systems.
