This process will be used to staff four (4) positions on an indeterminate basis in Ottawa, Ontario.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the Public Health Agency of Canada with:
* various tenures,
* various language requirements and linguistic profiles,

* various locations and/or
* various conditions of employment.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
Experience in researching and analyzing policy.
Experience in preparing briefing material and providing recommendations.
Experience in analyzing data and identifying trends or issues.

Experience in researching and analyzing health policy or in a related field (such as public health, health promotion, population health or socio-economic health)

Pass marks will be established for each qualification.
