Your Role
You will be in charge of a new development team in Halifax. You will work with and report to management in the Nation Capital Region. Part or you tasks are to mentor and recruit students. Students are the building blocks of the GoC and the PSCs future. Your knowledge of programming best practices will forge the careers of these individual. You will need to guide, mentor and teach these individuals. At the PSC we are modernizing our processes and approaches to application development. You will help us forge the future, today!

Education
A diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, from an educational program, of at least 2 years in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experiences
Experience in the delivery of information technology projects using a software development lifecycle
Experience in providing advice and recommendations on complex IT issues to management
Experience (3 years minimum) developing web applications or software using object oriented languages
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experiences
Experience in the delivery of projects using a software development lifecycle using the Agile methodology
Experience with open-source technologies
Experience in software development using Java Spring framework
Experience developing software in a continuous integration environment
Experience in supervising teams, including the planning, coordination and assessment of the work performed by employees and/or contractors
