Your résumé.
A secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially / territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience using computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and electronic mail.
Experience cleaning in either commercial, multi residential or institutional environment.
Experience using and maintaining mechanical equipment.
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of janitorial supplies, their use as well as handling and storage.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and/or procedures.
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and practices.

Possession of a current Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certificate.
Possession of a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Experience in supervising, evaluating and motivating individuals.
Experience in providing ordering and issuing services such as household and janitorial supplies and housekeeping equipment.
Experience in operation of various motorized commercial housekeeping and janitorial equipment such as automatic floor scrubbing machines, carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment, floor buffers or burnishers.
Experience maintaining and repairing cleaning equipment to keep it in a safe operating condition.
Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up bodily fluids / biohazard spills.
Experience cleaning a Healthcare facility.
Experience with different types of recycle programs.
Experience in pest control.
Experience working in a correctional environment.
Knowledge of Standard/Universal Precautions.
Knowledge of recycling methods.
