We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced farm supervisor to join the team of our Benton Ridge Research Farm as the Farm Operations Supervisor. The position is a full-time, indeterminate position, and is considered an essential position. The Benton Ridge Farm is part of the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Fredericton Research and Development Centre. The farm supports the Potato Breeding Program by planting, maintaining and harvesting research plots, and carrying out the post-harvest tasks of grading and storing seed for the following season. The Farm Operations Supervisor leads a staff of 6 to 9 people, depending on operational needs. The existing Benton Ridge Farm Team is engaged and hardworking, and they strive for excellence. The Farm Operations Supervisor will enjoy leading this team, which works so well together they refer to themselves as a family. The Supervisor will report to the Farm Manager, and will also work closely with the Research Centre’s Associate Director.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures for the location indicated for this process.
