Duties

The Geological Survey of Canada (Delta-Lab) and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Québec City, Québec, invite applications for a doctoral student research position (Ph.D.) in the fields of toxicology and environmental geochemistry. Under the framework of Natural Resources Canada’s Environmental Geoscience Program, a new 5-year project (Environmental Impact of Diluted Bitumen) will begin in April 2019. One of the main goals of this project is to improve our understanding of the behaviour of diluted bitumen in shallow groundwater systems. Within this context, the successful candidate will carry out toxicological and geochemical investigations in the laboratory and at an outdoor mesocosm facility.
