Duties

Duties include performing experiments in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, analyzing data and writing reports.

Work environment

This position is for a graduate student in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. The student will be enrolled in the graduate program of the department of Biology at the University of Western Ontario and will conduct part-time research at the AAFC Research Centre.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Currently enrolled/or accepted in a PhD program at the University of Western Ontario with specialization in: biology.

Degree equivalency

Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
Experience in genetic transformation of plants.
Experience in keeping a lab book with detailed notes.

Note: In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
