This process will be used to establish a pool of candidates that will be used to staff term (temporary) and indeterminate (permanent) positions in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. This pool could be also used to fill similar positions within the Department of National Defense in Quebec Area with various language proficiencies and security profiles.

EDUCATION:
- Secondary school diploma or a secondary school equivalency from the Ministère de l’éducation

KNOWLEDGE:
- Practical knowledge of food safety.
CAPACITIES:
- Capacity to solve simple math equations.
- Capacity to communicate orally.
- Capacity to communicate verbally.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Thinking things through.
- Demonstrating integrity and respect.
- Working effectively with others.
- Showing initiative and being action-oriented
TRAINING:
- Training related to health and hygiene.
- WHIMIS training.
EXPERIENCES:
- Work experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience as a supervisor in a commercial food service environment.
ORGANISATIONAL NEEDS:
- To meet the requirement for a diverse workforce, a particular treatment could be granted to candidates that will indicates if they belong to one of the employment equity group: Aboriginal person, disabled person, visible minority, and woman.
Reliability Status security clearance
- Available to work irregular hours (on call), shift work, weekends and consent to work additional (overtime) hours on occasion.
- Compliance of the Food Safety Code of Practice.
- The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations
- Capacity to lift and manipulate material weighing up to 20kg in all respect of food practices
- The candidates must respect and maintain the conditions of employment during the time of employment.
