In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

- Secondary School Diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

- Experience planning, organizing and supervising the activities and work flow of a road or grounds maintenance shop.
- Experience coordinating tasks with contractors and other work groups.
- Experience producing financial estimates.
- Experience training or arranging training for subordinate staff.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite applications Word and Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in human resource administration and providing personnel performance reviews.
- Experience monitoring and promoting a workplace health and safety program.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

- Experience supervising employees in a union environment and applying collective agreements.
- Experience managing, ordering and stocking large amounts of material, both incoming and outgoing.
- Experience inspecting equipment to ensure safe and operational condition.
- Experience submitting work requests for equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Experience supervising Snow and Ice Coordination (SNIC) support services.
- Experience managing a budget envelope.

- Knowledge of the operation and daily maintenance of a wide range of motorized construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, tractors, loaders,forklifts.

Degree equivalency

- Must be willing and able to travel as required by the employer.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

- Must possess a Province of New Brunswick Class 5 Drivers Licence or other provincial/territorial equivalence.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driving permit.
- Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be willing and able to lift objects up to 20 kilograms from floor level to shoulder height.
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, enter confined/tight spaces, work at heights and work in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required by the employer.
- Must be willing and able to participate in a Standby rotation.
