Graduation with a B. Sc. Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Plant Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or another related field of study.

Experience planning and conducting laboratory or field experiments.
Experience maintaining plants in growth cabinets or greenhouses.
Experience in plant cell culture and recovery of plants from tissue culture.
Experience performing molecular or biochemical analyses on DNA, RNA and proteins.
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in biological sciences with a specialization in a field relevant to the position (e.g. Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Agricultural Sciences).
Experience working with crop plant microspores.
Experience in laboratory management.
