EDUCATION
• Being a recognized Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
EXPERIENCE
• Significant experience* in completing audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) of not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations and crown corporations.
• Experience in supervising and directing staff including 2nd level review (i.e. detailed review of the work prepared by staff)
*Significant will be evaluated in terms of length, complexity and diversity of work experience that was a core part of the candidate’s employment and would have normally been obtained through approximately four (4) years of experience in the last ten (10) years.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Significant experience** in completing audits in accordance with GAAS
• Experience in conducting compliance audits in accordance with GAAS
• Experience in conducting audits overseas in accordance with GAAS
• Experience in supervising and directing teams (minimum 3 people) on a consistent basis over a minimum of 1 year
• Experience with grants and contributions
• Being a recognized Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Being a recognized Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Experience in preparing financial risk reports
• Experience providing advice to senior management and/or Board of Directors of clients on good governance practices or structures
**Significant will be evaluated in terms of length, complexity and diversity of work experience that was a core part of the candidate’s employment and would have normally been obtained through approximately six (6) years of experience in the last ten (10) years.
