You will be required to show how you demonstrate the essential qualifications (education and experience) for the initial screening by answering online screening questions. It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN, and WHERE the qualifications were met through substantiation by concrete examples.
The answers provided to the screening questions will be the main source of information and the curriculum vitae will only be referred to as a secondary source of information. Failure to provide complete answers may result in job applications being screened out from further consideration in this process.
Your application will be used to assess the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created and used to fill identical or similar positions. These positions may be staffed permanently or temporarily. Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

Completion of a minimum 2 year diploma or degree from an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading hardware and software in a Microsoft environment and for a large organization*.
Experience providing on-site and/or telephone information technology (IT) support services to clients in a formal capacity (e.g., as a member of an IT team providing onsite support; a service centre, etc.).
Experience in providing advice to clients on IT matters.

The job requires transporting, lifting and setting down equipment that can weigh up to 20kg. The job requires working under the following conditions: bending down, being hunched over and stretching below desks to reach the equipment.
Be able and willing to travel within the Prairie and Northern Region as part of his/her duties.
