The successful candidate will conduct field surveys and image analysis to assist in the development of methods to accurately map range and forages using satellite remote sensing data. The student will contribute to meeting presentations and to the writing of at least one scientific paper.
The student will be taking classes at University of Saskatchewan and conducting field studies and image analysis at both the University of Saskatchewan and at the Lethbridge Research and Development Centre (LeRDC) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

Currently enrolled or will be enrolled in a master’s or doctorate program at the University of Saskatchewan with specialization in Remote Sensing.
Experience* manipulating, interpreting, processing and analyzing remote sensing data.
Experience* using at least one geospatial professional software package (such as ESRI/Arc GIS, PCI, Matlab, R).
*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
